9/10/09: I'm finally releasing my latest live album, Takin' It To the Emacks, as an Internet-only download (no pieces of round plastic this time around, folks). It was recorded last April at Emack and Bolio's in Roslindale, when I featured at Carlyn Hutchins' late, lamented open mike. Steve Friedman did the live recording honors, as usual, and Dave contributed his usual percussion panache.

The album download includes all the MP3s, plus lyric booklets in both 8.5x11 and CD insert format, plus all the album art for you DIY folks who just have to make up a piece of plastic yourself.

4/3/08: My brand-new album, I'm Not a Modest Man, is my first studio album since my gigantic compendium five years ago (exactly, apparently). Jason Benjamin recorded it with me and Dave, in my own little house. It's a little rough in places, but our goals were to get some recent stuff on disc and have some fun, and we certainly accomplished both of those things. High points include the title track, as well as Five Dwarf Day, Your Side of the Bed, Abbie Hoffman's Revenge, and Ya Gotta Mumble If You Wanna Sing the Blues.

You can purchase the physical CD at CDBaby, or from me at one of my shows, or download the album. The album download includes all the MP3s, plus lyric booklets in both 8.5x11 and CD insert format, plus all the album art for you DIY folks who just have to make up a piece of plastic yourself.

2/23/07: You'll be thrilled to discover that my brand-new 9-song live EP Thirds, recorded last summer in a split bill at Club Passim with Mark Stepakoff, is finally ready. This is my first CD with my percussionist, David Troen-Krasnow (and no, he never lets me forget it).

The physical CD is the whole show, folks - intros, extraneous yakking, wild applause, the works. You can purchase it at CDBaby, or from me at one of my shows, or you can download the album below. The album download has been remastered as individual songs, with or without intros. The album download also includes lyric booklets in both 8.5x11 and CD insert format, plus all the album art for you DIY folks who just have to make up a piece of plastic yourself.

[Do You Believe]

5/9/05: I'm pleased to announce the arrival of my 5-song live EP Do You Believe, recorded last summer at Club Passim with Dan Hart, Stanley Matis and Katherine Pritchard. The physical CD will include my 1999 3-song CD Live at Club Passim as a special bonus. Ask me about it!

You can get the CD from me at one of my shows, or download the album. The album download includes all the MP3s, plus lyric booklets in both 8.5x11 and CD insert format, plus all the album art for you DIY folks who just have to make up a piece of plastic yourself.

4/3/03: After long and arduous effort, my gigantic compendium Life is Like a River is done! It's a complete record of my musical adventures for the last five years: 3 CDs, 46 songs, $10. A bargain at several times the price, you'll agree. Mark Stepakoff, songwriter extraordinaire, calls it a "stunningly powerful and evocative collection". See me at a show, or ask me to mail it to you for an additional $2.

Update 5/15/06: Unfortunately, all the physical copies of this CD have been sold. But you can still download the album below. The album download includes all the MP3s, plus lyric booklets in both 8.5x11 and CD insert format, plus all the album art for you DIY folks who just have to make up a piece of plastic yourself.
